I thought I would add some fun running movies to my Books page. A couple that I have seen recently:
* amazing
* funny and uplifting!
recommend both!

So in the interest of honesty, I am admitting to reading chick lit. Sometimes I just want to read a mindless novel and be entertained, laugh out loud. Right now I am reading:
Good in Bed to be followed by Certain Girls – both by Jennifer Weiner
She also wrote the novel In her Shoes which was later made into a movie starring Cameron Diaz.

I love to read. I read everything from trashy romance novels to the classics. I have read a couple of books recently that are hard to put down and very hard to forget:
Sarah’s Key by Tatiana De Rosnay
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Both are WWII/holocaust era novels and are both heart wrenching and thought provoking.
HI! I love your blog! I am a 50-ish Mum, originally American, and I live in Australia now. I have 2 kids and like you left the corporate world a year ago and now I am enjoying life, the kids and my running! I used to be a runner and triathlete back in the 80s so I am returning to my roots. My 14-yr old son and I are training for a 14k fun run, the City to Surf race held in Sydney in August 2010.
I do a lot of reading and I love movies. I LOVE good food and wine, and love to cook. I think we have a lot in common! I am reading an interesting non fiction book at the moment about Gertrude Bell – she was an adventurous English girl who had a great deal to do with establishing Iraq as a country!
